An example of the sins of the 90's.. SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Don't count on any changes in the way Merrill Lynch does business after a fiery report from the state of New York that charges the firm with " a shocking betrayal of trust" against individual tech investors. The report, based on a 10-month probe by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, grabbed nationwide headlines earlier this week. It revealed that Internet stocks labeled internally by Merrill employees as "such a piece of crap, "going a lot lower" and "falling apart" carried some of Merrill's highest ratings. cbs.marketwatch.com I seem to focus on these things a lot.. but they really p*** me off.. and they are plain wrong and should be punished.. If I steal $100 or shoplift I will be arrested but those on wall street steal a lot more and smile all the way to the bank.. The SEC needs a much bigger budget.. perhaps a few hardened IRS auditors could give them a hand now that the IRS is "nice"... I know all investors should do their DD but give me a break! This is why TA rules.. For as long as those in Washington keep getting greased this will go on... Rashid
