Someone claimed to have spotted a number of trucks at a NASCAR track in Texas during the running of a race. At least one of the trucks had an ACTV logo on it. I assume we are to believe from this information that ACTV is in some sort of venture with NASCAR and Indemand (as the hype continues). I haven't got the foggiest clue if any of this information is correct. It is sufficient to note that those that "bought" this rumor were quickly punished by a number of sellers. The stock is constantly full of sellers. This is a serious problem for management. The same people have been running this company forever and they drag around a lot of "baggage" from a vast number of pronouncements that fell flat in terms of revenue generation. I get the sense that there is little support for the management in the institutional investment community. Several other elements keep the sellers coming (1) lack of deals (2) very high continuing cash burn rate (3) very soft market for interactive stocks i.e. OPTV & Gemstar are two good examples.
