I agree.
Gates has run into a few problems of late that WS is still glossing over.
AOL gets hammered because they "make" 1/4 of their revs from intracompany transfers. MSN "makes" more than 1/2 from intracompany transfers. WS hates AOL, but shushes everyone on MSN.
MSFT has had an unmitigated failure with the .NET initiative. It was a colossal failure, and cost them over a billion dollars (if you include planning and development costs with the marketing costs).
MSFT still has anti-trust hanging over its head, and while AOL is being plastered for chasing money it's owed, SUN and the Federal government are essentially doing the same thing. Who will win? Don't bet on MSFT.

ORCL has none of these problems. It has one issue regarding MSFT: they hired someone to pick through trash to help slam MSFT. Big deal.
MSFT DB's are no match for ORCL. We are now seeing other "ORCL specific" problems migrating to their competitors, which are even worse there.

ORCL may not be looking "good", but it certainly is looking clean.
