I was shocked that Marcie was attributing the inflation of the 1970's to the rise in Oil prices from OPEC. She seemingly ingnored the inflation that had built up in the system when The US had gone off the gold standard in 1971 and ignored the inflationary forces the Caused OPEC to raise oil prices in response.
