Now, don't laugh so hard, LPS5... it's a serious matter, potentially.

Say one's "cash" is swept into an independently operated Treasury-securities money market fund (they even send out their 1099s separately), and suppose, further, that one's broker clears through a major major that handles all one's transactions: You still believe one's cash would be tied up potentially for "years"?

Inquiring minds want to know...
