Do you think you will make any contacts with the Monagnards when they arrive in NC?

certainly...i have been involved since the relocation began 16 years ago. i met the first plane with 65 montagnards to arrive in America.

they are a remarkable story...the five families i sponsored all own their own homes. several kids are college grads with excellent jobs. one is with RFMD. one owns 2 small businesses and has several other yards as employees.

presently a montagnard village is being built near asheboro NC. the first long house is nearly finished. a big celebration is planned for Memorial Day.

i visited the ESL courses a few weeks ago. and several older families. our local SFA chapter has been involved since day one. the new families need a boost, a helping hand. our government gets them here, gives them $100 and turns them loose. we have set up and furnished apartments, stocked pantries, provided clothing, blankets, assistance with kids and school, found jobs, taught basic hygiene, given driving instruction...etc etc.

we do have some koho tribe members here now.

good luck with the well...wells were always in short supply in montagnard villages. lack of water forced many moves.
