Eric - What Sun products have anything approaching 99.99% uptime, let alone 99.999%? Sun's big systems don't routinely see even 99.9% uptime in the field.

The companies which specialize in that level of uptime for general purpose computing, primarily Tandem but also some IBM configurations, pretty much dominate the high reliability market. I don't think Sun has ever sold in that space.
