I like TIPS and TXO(options on the TSE 35). The former I use mainly for covered call writing. I'm more than fed up with trying to pick individual stock winners, the market as a whole is a lot easier to get info on, and forecast. Economics I understand, specific sectors like gold, oil and tehnology, are more troublesome. Most of my options portfolio is index based.

The nice thing these days is that the golds are countering the industrials, which lowers the volatility in the TSE 300/35. Gold may drop to the $280 level, but a steady interest rate policy will likely more than compensate by boosting the industrials. If it weren't for the golds the TSE 300 would be well past 7000.

Toppy !!! I don't know, the key is how gold prices hold up. Good luck with those Puts. You may want to use a spread as a hedge, in case you're wrong.
