I really am disturbed by all this so-called "Senior White House Staff" leakage. We have had none of that from Bush up to now, so it must be deliberate.

"none of that up till now"? LB, where in the world do you think the whole "Democracy in Iraq" line came from? It's been floating around for months. Cheney is a legendary infighter, he and Rumsfeld supposedly outmanuevered Henry Kissinger from the right in the Ford Administration.

It's pretty obvious when all the bloviating pundits start bloviating the same line in unison, they're being fed it from somewhere. The main thing with W up till now, the line has usually been consistent. Personally, I think it's good for there to be dissention and debate, I don't like the idea of American foreign policy being another "friends of Cheney" operation like American energy policy.
