You're pretty mixed up, Steve.

I don't recall Sun repricing options, and their GAAP earnings have always been available for those who wanted to see them. BTW, pro forma numbers, while subject to abuse, can be MORE valid and useful than GAAP numbers in many circumstances. If you don't understand that, ask your accountant; it's a pretty basic concept.

And who has lost any money? I admit I didn't take anywhere near the profits that were once available to me, but SUNW has been a dandy investment nonetheless. Run a five year chart against MSFT; even with the dramatic plunge in SUNW, it has kept up with Bill Gates' darling of Wall Street over the long haul.

It's Ellison of Oracle who has the MIG. Plus, both the MSFT antitrust trial court and associated appeals court thought MSFT deserved a bashing; Why shouldn't McNealy agree?

JMHO.
