Competition is alive and well and always has been. That's the nature of technology.

The point of the article is that if MSFT is forced to lower prices it will no longer have incentive to improve or even market IE.

IE would be dropped from the market and the greatest software power of all time would no longer provide its innovative services to the consumer. The consumer would be harmed.

This is consistent with the state/competitor goals. Help their businesses at the expense of the consumer.

They're all pigs as well as every one of the people that support them.
