GS on MDT We continue to recommend purchase of Medtronic shares.Yesterday,we had the opportunity to meet with several members of Medtronic ’s senior management team at the company ’s headquarters in Minneapolis.Highlights from the meeting included:(1)4Q tachy sales appear to be tracking ahead of expectations,(2)recent stent patent litigation filed against Cordis may provide Medtronic with leverage in vascular,(3)additional data from the MIRACLE ICD trial submitted to the FDA appears to have the overall results of the trial,and (4)Activa sales are exceeding expectations.Overall,we remain highly confident that Medtronic remains well-positioned to drive strong 15%sales growth going forward.
