Bill,

Changing the shape of the atoms or distorting their position in the matrix?

The first layer of Si epitaxially grown on the SiGe surface must conform to the higher than pure Si interstitial spacing. It's just Si that is streched a very little.

On another subject, it seems that AMD Zone was having a Hammer naming poll, or something. Well, we already have the Athlon and the Duron, so how about this:

"Introducing the new AMD HardOn processor -- twice the bits, because size matters."

Pravin.
