"if this country spent 70-plus million bucks to investigate Whitewater, then what's the harm spending 1/3 that amount to determine whether the Bush family's coterie of friends are business crooks?"

This reveals another difference between you and me, and what we think America is all about. You are quite comfortable launching investigations against people becausse you do not like them. Your post seems to indicate that there was nothing to Whitewater. There was a lot. I know the investigation resulted in the convictions of many people, including the governor of Arkansas. There was a crime committed and the Clintons appeared to be involved. Two of the closest witnesses are dead, one stayed quiet after getting $400,000+ in FREE money through Clinton pal Vernon Jordan, and another that stayed quiet in jail was one of Clinton's former mistresses.

Clinton is (was) quite powerful. When the man who has the most powerful position on earth throws his full weight (with the help of his wife) at thwarting the criminal justice system that he is sworn to uphold, then you can get away with crimes, and trick gullable people like yourself into believeing he was innocent.

It takes kind of a sleepy (or devious) mind to compare a nutball demcrat politician's outlandish fairytale accusation to an actual crime. The mindset you are displaying is EXACTLY the one that makes me think so little of the democratic party.

Have a nice day flapjack. I'm going golfing.
