Mankind's God Blob (2)

Ditto those agencies that oversee "federal lands" within the states. Unless sold, ceded, rented or leased to the federal government, there is no provision in the Constitution for the government to own, control, dictate the use of, bar access to, or HAVE ANYTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH LANDS WITHIN THE UNION STATES, OR WITH ANY SPECIES LIVING THEREON, ALLEGEDLY ENDANGERED OR OTHERWISE. NONE. Sorry about that. My Caps Lock key must have gotten stuck.

The Constitution makes NO provision for federal control of state lands, for an Air Force or for a Department of Education. So it can clearly be seen and understood by any rational, intelligent person that federal agencies engaged in the aforementioned activities do not exist. Lawfully speaking, of course. They are all mere phantasms. Phantasms with armed goon squads, tanks, SWAT teams, attack helicopters and plagues of lawyers. Other than that, they're purely figments of your imagination. If they burst into your house and stick a machine gun in your face, pay them no heed. They're just doing their job. It's all for the children. Ask Elian. Take two time-release Prozac and call your Senator in the morning.

<Picture>"Phillips, you've really gone overboard this time." Nitpicking, you say? That's what it's all about, Fellow Citizen. The Devil is in the details. If you don't believe me, look in the Index under "details". Once you allow for ANY unauthorized assumption of authority, ANY jurisdictional encroachment, ANY perversion of power, indeed ANY such error whatsoever, you allow for ALL such error in the future. And you end up with an America converted into Amerika. Like today.

The sole jurisdiction granted Congress under the Constitution to legislate for citizens within the States of the Union is twofold: postal roads and interstate commerce. Repeat: Postal roads and interstate commerce. Let's say it again: Postal roads and interstate commerce. Which would allow for a couple of agencies to oversee these limited activities.

<Picture>"But what about providing for the 'common defense'", you ask. "Doesn't that provide for an Army?" No! There is no provision in the Constitution for a standing army, only a well-armed militia which is to consist of the People, as is the practice in Switzerland. Standing armies in their own country are always dangerous to Liberty. They can end up patrolling airports and detaining innocent civilians for capricious reasons, conducting random roadblocks, building citizen detention centers, etc. You know, shades of the Third Reich. Like today.

"But what about the 'general welfare' clause?", you might then ask. Answer: The Founders intended that EVERY citizen benefit equally from legislative acts that would enhance the welfare of ANY citizen. No free cheese for some at the expense of others. No Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, subsidized housing, food stamps or other federal welfare goodies unless EVERYONE were to receive them equally. Otherwise, it would be tantamount to stealing from your neighbors. Like today.

OK, so we're limited to postal roads, interstate commerce, the common defense of our country and general welfare that benefits everyone equally. So now we're up to maybe a dozen agencies or so. So what's with the THOUSANDS of federal Agencies, Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Commissions, Departments, Facilities, Foundations, Laboratories, Offices, Projects and Registries that have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ABOVE CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMITED AREAS, some of which agencies are listed below? WHAT ARE THEY ALL DOING?

Answer: eroding your rights, consuming your earnings, surveiling your activities and, indeed, regulating your very existence. And they're doing it with the output of your labor, the very property that the taxing clauses in the Constitution exist to protect. Here's what Thomas Jefferson said in 1821, five years before his death:

<Picture>"...the Federal Judiciary; an irresponsible body (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow), working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little to-day and a little to-morrow, and advancing it's noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped from the States, and the government of all be consolidated into one. ... when all government ... in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the centre of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated."

Sound about right? In closing, I suggest the following exercise in reality therapy:

(1) Pick your favorite nonexistent agencies from the list below. Use your word processor to highlight any that you recognize as unconstitutional, and just delete them! Now treat them with the lawful observance they deserve and ignore them in the future! Just think -- entire bureaucracies obliterated, swept away with a mere wave of the hand. Which is how they were created in the first place. Out of legislative thin air. What power you have just reclaimed! Teach your children! Alert the media! Pass it on.

(2) Now face east towards the Franklin Roosevelt Memorial, kowtow deeply and force yourself to read each of the following line entries, slowly, one by one, out loud. Then repeat to yourself, "I AM a citizen, I AM a citizen, I AM a citizen ..."
