>they don't have the right to play God. How can Israelis expect world opinion to be on their side when they play that autocratic? That's the kind of move of a dictatorship, not a democracy.

Why should they allow terrorists who kill their innocents to keep doing so? There is absolutely no question now that Arafat is in charge of much of the terrorism.

Z, whether Arafat is guilty as charged or not, he has not been tried so what right do the Israelis have from keeping him from seeing the EU representatives. My God, that's treating him like his an indentured servant. Can you not see how that would be offensive to the Palestinians? Our worst prisoners are permitted visitors.

Besides, we are talking about a leader of a state who may or may not be behind terrorists acts. If you believe he is guilty, then arrest him and put him on trial.........otherwise, this game is a charade that the Israelis are playing in order to maintain control without taking any responsibility for their actions.
