Machiavelli Plan, thanks for the reminder, nobody commented on it then, was probably too "factual", no funny potatoes.
I especially agree with (just picking some potatoes)
- 3G auction costs kind of a "protect the turf",etc, etc, stupid "game theory" cost.. but there is no "law" against playing games, although the most destructive results can be minimized by fixing the loopholes assumed. (who pays for the game, sharing masts, antennas,RF-parts, etc but not controlling the "licenses")
- interior of offices, etc macro-micro-pico,etc extremely important, backwards and forwards.
However, to me it seems as when one makes WLAN,etc as "functional", compatible, connected, etc, the stuff which comes more "naturally" on not-so-free-spectra, WLAN kind of becomes the same as WCDMA, except for lower RF-power.
However, from a pure technical point of view, the steps from 1MHz to 5MHz to 12MHz CDMA or whatever are fairly similar and difficult. Basic silicon technology is about to make 5MHz possible, but not more than that. (in terms of power dissipation,etc..)
But this "sharecropper" strategy of making a lot of contracts on wiring up picostations inside buildings does not seem to fly in "a perfect world", but might balance many other "not yet perfect" issues.

Btw, yes, you have the right to the ether, both outside and inside, but I have the right to metal enforced walls, no windows, and you are not allowed to set up "boomer stuff" to try to penetrate them from outside. Wanna negotiate?? |
