Insomnia

The thunderous ticking of my silent electronic clock located atop my night stand has awakened me again.

I hear the numbers changing.

Those red LED's burning holes through my blanket that was fluffed in a manner to shield me from seeing how long I've laid awake.

Must clear my mind.
