Thanks for the reference.

I got the information that I wanted from The Jim Lehrer show tonight. On Friday night,
there is a discussion between Brooks and Shields. For the most part, I think their
part in the show is a waste of time. Tonight it was worth the wait.

We thought the reason that Clinton's Middle East Truce couldn't work was because neither Arafat
nor Barak (spelling?) could guarantee that their people would accept the Camp David accords.
In particular, we thought that Sharon would never agree. Tonight, Shields mentioned that Sharon
would never agree. It was also mentioned that Arafat would not agree either.

Bush tries to hold Americans to two sides of justice in the Middle East conflict. There is Sharon's
Justice. And there is Arafat's Justice. Both sides involve murder. I believe both sides are accountable. Still,
I have cried for the many Palestinians whose homes, lives and cities have been destroyed by Sharon and
his army with American weapons and support from the current President Bush. I feel sorry for the Israelis
as well but they always have Bush to provide them with more weapons and moral support. And their
economy has not been reduced to that of third-world countries, which is what has happened to the Palestinians
who now live in poverty because of Sharon's actions. If Powell can reach a cease fire, I believe Arab and other
countries will step in and help the Palestinians rebuild, but I am not sure that Sharon wants peace.

Can you believe that Bush called Sharon "a man of peace?" If Sharon is a man of peace, I wonder how
Bush would describe Stalin or Hitler.
