As I posted yesterday, RealMoneyPro said that chatter was that INTC will be lowering guidance this week.

These stocks are going nowhere but down, although I do expect MSFT to sink at a much slower rate.

Intel was relatively weak on Friday so part of that concern seems to be factored. The thing I would note about Intel is that you are not going to get leaks from the company. My guess is that the realmoneypro stuff is just all speculation.

I would tend to believe the opposite; think Intel should do better than MSFT....Intel only gets about 30% of their revenue from the US market and have seen growth in emerging markets like China and India. MSFT is much more dependent on the developed economies..the mature markets.

I am not suggesting Intel is a great buy.....just a guess that the market has factored in a near term negative outlook and any small positive comment (about emerging markets) from them may be good for a bounce in this stock. The bounce would be better if more bail out before the earnings report.
