Condo Rice is not a war monger. To call her extreme right wing is itself an extreme statement. She is, however, steeped in the cold-war mentality of people like Bzrezinski, and appears to have an operational mentality on the use of American power, though not the degree of cold-bloodedness, of Kissinger. That's why she and Cheney are two peas in a pod. The consequences of implementing her points of view, which Bush obviously shares, will provide ample fires for Powell to try to extinguish.
