Thanx for your response.From what I can gather that insurance only comes into play if there is a problem with the clearing house . My understanding is that the clearing house has control of all the cash and securities. ( correct me if i am mistaken here ) Having said the above I would just as soon not be in this situation. I have been transferring cash as I raise it to Tradestation Securities where I have another account.Currently I have no cash with watley but considerable value in stock which can be time consuming to transfer and may produce a window where I would be unable to sell if the need were to arise....I am hoping that Watley ( what's left of them ) will eventually be sold and settle this. I'd like to stay as I like their trading platform and customer service far better than any I have had prior.
