David,

I'd also like to thank you for sticking around. Nice to have someone in the trenches posting here. I also read your postings in the usenet group 'comp.storage.arch'.

At least two of those companies do virtualization. Could you tell me if you've seen any demos or heard anything about another virtualization outfit called Store-Age? I have a small investment here and it seems to be going nowhere. They stated in their last earnings report(actually it was IISL's report. They own 39% of Store-Age) that they have nailed down a major OEM(rumored to be Unisys, but who knows).

Also, could you pontificate a bit about where virtualization is heading in terms of symmetric and asymmetric schemes? Is one winning out over the other? In the long term, do you see one being preferred over another? Seems like all of the early adopters are buying into the symmetric scheme which is NOT what Store-Age is touting. Is this mainly because the symmetric scheme was first to market? Or is it deemed the best overall from a technical standpoint?

Thanks

Craig
