Silence

the day begins almost half a heartbeat after
the plastic hollow click, that still echoes in my mind.

and the silence smiles softly ensnaring me back
soothing me with serene sounds
swallowing me in a swaddling shell
engulfing me as I lie prostrate
not thinking about the day ahead
