The usual mispronunication of "Athlon" is, of course, "Ath-ron," as certain ethnic groups have major problems with the "l" (el) sound. But I dare not use this in a joke, lest "that's not funny!!" thought policemen like Mani or Jeff declare me suspended for two weeks. (Not being one of the Amdroids, I don't get one of the "lifetime passes" that Mani hands out to his buddies. The Maniban has issued a warning to me that "any" deviation from absolute political correctness will result in a lifetime ban for me. Which is why I don't point out that most Orientals can't pronounce "Athlon.") Ain't political correctness an ugly thing? --Tim May
