Ted, That's why I think Sharon is the wrong person for the job; in fact, his party is the wrong party to be in control right now. I seem to recall that Israel has 2 major parties, and a lot of very small parties. Labor brought Israel to the present situation, Likud has (unsuccessfully) been trying to get out of the mess. That' it. I don't think it is about which party is in power. Actually, now that I am thinking about it, isn't Labor and Likud in some sort of coalition now? Shimon Peres is a foreign minister, so they must be in a coalition. Joe
