OT I would like to connect my laptop to my home cable line along with my Desktop PC. Any suggestions on Router types.

I have a (wired) NetGear that I paid about $90 bucks for at Fry's.

I'm running Windows XP on the main computer and Windows 98 on the second machine. The router hooks up to my DSL modem, and the two computers hook up to the router through their internal network cards. (Both of my machines had network cards, but they are really cheap anyhow -- something like $10-$20 will do it.)

I'm no techie, but it was still pretty easy to set up.
