snook and all, Great races yesterday. Buddha and Medaglio really put on a show. Harlan's Holiday looked good. But all of the winners appear to be vulnerable to a true closer, IMHO. Ditto for Came Home. I think Came Home is the best horse, but without any races in the humidity of the East and South makes him suspect. Many, many horses have come east to Kentucky from California and couldn't believe what it felt like outside. I know the first time I hit San Angelo, Texas in the Army I thought something was wrong inside me. I'd never known humidity before. It isn't as bad as high altitude for sapping your stamina, but it's bad.

Our leading trainer at Sam Houston, Asmussen, may enter his Arkansas Derby winner, Private Emblem. No electronic buzzers in this race. <g> This horse knows humidity.

They are saying 20 entries are possible. Geez, what a train wreck. But a bet on the field might be a winner, assuming they have one.

Off to simulcast today.
