Vajpayee: Who started the fire?

Vajpayee puts the blame squarely on the Godhra Muslims for starting the cycle of violence. Some aspiring candidates with an eye on the office of Prime Minister are paying lip service and sympathy to one section of victims ignoring the other victims: Both are equal in the eyes of justice, peace and God. The reality is that the Govt., the police and the military will not be able to control the avenging Hindus, if muslims resort to violence. I doubt very much that the muslims are so alienated in India as to resort to any suicide attacks on Hindus for that will result in a tit-for-tat retaliation of monumental proportions from Hindu mobs. I hope cool heads prevail on both sides. It is noteworthy to observe that the response from the world of Islam was not virulent towards India on this Hinud-muslim killings, because any further flaming will result in more deaths among the minority: sad but true.
