Q: General tax question: Are taxes due on any profits made as a result of following the complacency indexes?

A: This is the first time we've heard that question. Profits from following the complacency indexes? Could you please send us your trading strategy ASAP?

Q: It was a more theoretical question. My losses were horrendous. IF I'd made any profits -- or IF I make any profits this year -- would taxes be due?

A: That is a technical question. Pls. call one of our convenient tax help lines. Be prepared to be put on hold for hours and to speak to a non-English speaking, abusive clerk with absolutely no knowledge of the tax code.
