I couldn't sleep, so I put the IRR calculation into my spreadsheet. If I've done it correctly (no guarantees!), then my IRR, if I were to sell everything today at Friday's closing price, would be 42%.

I assume you know this, but I'll say it anyway. If you were to load all of your transactions into Quicken you would no longer have to "fool around" with spreadsheet calculations in Excel. Further, you could then generate multiple reports (via Quicken's reports feature) and take different "cuts" of the data in just about any way you can imagine.
