It appears to me the bitterness is among those Hahvahd women who are complaining that, despite being given the opportunity of a lifetime and a passport into at least the upper middle class, they can't get laid.

As ragged as the Dowd piece was and as exercised as you and Steven are about it, the underlying point is valid, which is that women, by their accomplishment, reduce the pool of suitable partners. Getting laid is not the same as finding a compatible mate. I'm glad to see that the "Hahvahd women" are aware at such an early age of the trade-offs so that they can make choices accordingly. And not whine about it.
