linda, the system that i use on the way in is similar to aim. i buy 1/3 then if it goes up i'm a genius. if it drops 20% or so then i buy another 1/3. if it goes straight up then i'm a genius and even richer ;-) if it drops again then i'm in for another 3rd. sometimes i've gone 4/3 (too many times, actually).

i sell on the way out in the same fashion.

aim seems to be more "technically" based. i prefer a "fundamental" base. for example, my analysis says gems is worth more than $17 so i won't sell. i haven't sold share 1 yet even though i was a buyer atn $8 1/8 and $10 3/8. "fundamentally," it seems like it isn't the thing to do.

mid $20s and i'll seriously consider selling 1/3 or so. maybe sooner or later if the fundamental outlook changes.

all systems seem to be a go right now :-)
