Kerry-Edwards. That's who will win. Edwards is a little young to be president. He's the smarter more admirable Dan Quayle type. So he's a perfect Veep. Kerry would not be the contender except for the fact that he can ride around in a tank like Dukakis and be very credible. He won the Silver Star, Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He has killed enemy. He can kick Bush's ass on military issues. He's twice as smart, easily as telegenic, a much better debater, six inches taller, and even as much money behind him as Bush thanks to his wife who is heir to a huge fortune. Most of all, Kerry has enormous credibility, no scandals, few enemies with anything on him and is such a powerful campaigner that Bush's attacks against him of being a "Massachusetts liberal" will quickly be disregarded by swing voters.

40% will always vote for each party. It's the 20% in the middle that count. Kerry-Edwards could beat Bush-Cheney within that 20% unless by some miracle the economy is doing great by then. But I fear we will still be in the crapper economically come 2004, thanks at least in part to Bush's policies which favor the rich at the expense of the middle-class and government debt. Also by then we will probably know the truth about the energy scandals of 2000-2001, perhaps the biggest ripoff and power grab in history.
