I'd like to Jesse Ventura run as an independent. That would liven up the debate
LOL! Here's a guy who looks like he ought to be as dumb as Junior. Then he walks around the governor's mansion law library and says things like "you know, there are a LOT of laws here, some going back to the 1800's and obsolete. I'd like to see some of these cleared out every year."
A little common sense for a change, and unlike Junior, actually thinks for himself, right or wrong.
Also, so far as I can see, because he came in without anyone expecting it, not beholden to Bush Inc., and is not intimidated by death threats or Perot-type "we'll wreck your daughter's wedding" dirty tricks Bush Inc. is famous for.
He'd be good for the debate, whether he runs for anything or not. I don't think he's up to policy-wonk clarity on all issues, but has moral clarity, and I'd follow his lead in a combat situation.
And politics in this country is getting more and more to be like combat. |
