For women who are very intelligent it could be a great temptation to believe you can have it all. The perception was that men had it all- and the assumption was that women could too. This was, imo, a false perception, because men have never had it all. It is true they can reproduce with less consequences to their offspring, but who is raising those children and making lasting connections with those children? The mother, or whoever else is raising the child. You cannot have the benefit of raising your children if you do not actually raise them. Women or men, if you farm out the job of actually raising your children to others, then they will have the connection with the child. There is not way around it. It is the way children are. The people who care for them, are the people they will connect with.
