Was up in "pine and spruce country" northwest of here this afternoon. Saw quite few Canadian flags flying in conspicuous locations..like in front of a few woodlots and mills.

Also noticed something interesting. Quite a lot of people building up log houses on their lots.. the big lads that well-heeled types like to order and have built up for them. Good to see so many of them under construction. Normally I would only see perhaps 3 or 4 on a drive up through that area, but I must have seen at least a dozen at various stages of completion. Hope the trend catches on and maybe that'll move a little lumber in another direction. Been thinking of building a new place further away from the city lights, so may well stop in to do a bit of research on my next drive through the area.
