I Respectfully Respect Your Respect . <g>

>>Fallacy of composition<<

errr..ok.... but it is written exactly the way I wanted it in the context of the issue at hand.

What other than fear would compel a group of like thinkers to propagate the most extreme instances or circumstances to influence others to their way of thinking?

The extreme right are stating loudly and with purpose their absolute rejection of the ICC based on " the possibility " that Americans in other countries may be subject to International Justice during their duties as representatives of America.

They failed, or more likely neglected , to mention that only when the Citizen's country failed to indite or prosecute would the ICC get involved.I don't believe there is a long outstanding list of Americans running around the globe committing genocide and crimes against humanity that haven't been dealt with.Actually, I can't think of any of the top of my noggin at all!

But maybe something more unusual is being portrayed here. Is it possible that the Extreme Right Wing ( ERW ) feels Americans are above all reproach? That they could never be answerable to the world community? That they will ALWAYS have the moral high ground?

Well, I don't get it.Americans on whole ARE well on the top drawer of civilization ( except for maybe rap music )and should have absolutely nothing to fear but fear itself. ( think I read that somewhere )

OK.If nothing else regarding the ICC, I implore Americans to ensure the incumbent Presidency does not attempt to " un-sign " this signature ( not ratification ), as has been suggested by the ERW.This would be a precedent dating back over 200 years.

If Dubya and his extremists believe they can just start undoing International treaties and agreements with the swoosh of an eraser that don't somehow fit their thinking, they had better watch out for the fallout. They won't hold the exclusivity on this once the initial dent is made in the armor of International Agreements .

That I can Assure .
