So why the sudden huge redemptions at Janus? The only major event that would cause that many J6P investors to panic is regis philben telling everyone on CNBC and on his morning show that "wall street is nothing but a bunch of crooks, I'm taking all my money out and never investing again" I'm dead serious folks- any other event that happened about 5 trading days ago that could have caused a mass run for the exits among one of the biggest retail-customer mutual funds? The average dumb american may not listen to Fleckenstein, but they sure as hell listen to oprah and regis. Regis is the first high profile american who has said wall street is rotten to the core. And on national TV no less. That is INCREDIBLY big.
