IMO, Israel has really pushed it when it comes to how long they have waited to withdraw from ALL the occupied territories

They offered to withdraw from 95% and got a no. They believe that retreat under these conditions will bring another war on them, chiefly from Hizbullah and Hamas. The Arabs think they have a real winner in the proxy war of attrition.

You may believe this fol-de-rol about only wanting "to end the occupation" but if that was the real goal, don't you think offering 95% would have been good enough to close the deal? The Israelis certainly think that Oslo showed up Arafat's real intentions, and they are not prepared to see the whole West Bank become a Hizbullah base for the next step in the "Plan of Phases".
