No,WLD, that is not what i am preaching here.I am pointing out that NYState has a heavy investigation on with teeth that i do NOT expect anybody to be attentive. This one will hit later down the rode.Mind these firms are in NYS jurisdiction.
Regards no one cares, why did G.E. get hit hard even though they claimed they had 17% growth this last quarter? This would be unheard of in the past. But now the funds are asking questions they didn't ask before.(Olstein Funds has calculated that when unloading the clever math their growth rate for the last quarter was -2%, and values the stock at no more than 25 dollars)
<People just want the market to go up.> no question. But it isn't, thus far, if the people want the market to go up and it isn't,what's that mean?:)
Historically, and this is FACT, there are significant portions in all cycles of say 100years, where people do NOT care if stocks go up(richard bernstein calls this the ultimate in buy signals:)
The Bloomberg feature tells me they are worried or they wouldn't come SCREAMING "We Are Buying Again,Now" and ramming these words in JohnQPublic's mouth and backing it up with NO data, just a few cutesy, madison avenue hand picked anectodal tales with photos.
Here is something, off this topic, o my the G.E. Pension Fund
holders must be feeling sick, the G.E. Pension Fund has DROPPED from an estimated 12.6 billion dollars to a now estimated 3.5billion dollar value. For an employee of G.E. that is frightening, but these "new estimates" are hitting PF holders all over america. And supports Buffets charge that Pension Funds are run by gross incompetents (that get rich managing the funds) and scam their holders with "estimated" values, until the clock clicks and it is time for a new estimate.
These people must now severely downgrade from what they thought they had, they feel much poorer now.
I still say, EVENTUALLY, this market will reach Bear Market evaluations.
Rich in his "New Bull Market" hasn't connected with the fact the Old One ain't dead yet:),imo.max
