As long as munchkins are humble and begging, the Egos That Be are pleased. They can toss a few crumbs when it suits them; if those crumbs are poisonous or explosive (a 50% squeeze the wrong way), that is a burden the supplicant must bear for being such a peasant in the face of a true Ego. The Egos That Be are free to change positions in a flash if the market goes against them. That's why they aren't miserable, begging munchkins themselves. They know how to ramrod the morons.
