Hi Ron,
The trade was with ETRADE as a day limit order @ 3 7/8 and it filled 07-08-97.
You didn't do anything wrong. This has also happened to me. That is why I moved one of my accounts to another brokerage. You can't prove that they did anything wrong but you become very suspicious and about the second time it happens that broker is ancient history with me. I have three brokers because sometimes when you short sell one broker won't have any of that stock to short and another will. Also sometimes the brokers systems are down and you can trade with one of the others.
I will sell at 3 3/8 and try to buy back again.
