GE to cut 7,000 jobs this year (GE) By Neil Chase
General Electric (GE) says it will eliminate 7,000 jobs this year, or 2.3 percent of its 310,000 employees, according to a CNBC report. GE has been the most active NYSE stock today, down 4.6 percent to $32 per share after a newspaper report questioned its accounting.
