Joe, <Among Palestinians, this silent majority for good either completely does not exist, or is so surpressed by the militants and PLO leadership that their voice can't be heard.> I heard from a Christian missionary in Lebanon that those who danced in the streets after 9/11 are the minority, and the vast majority saw the tragedy the same way we do. That gives more credence to the notion that the militants and the terrorists are a minority, but they do a very efficient job at keeping the majority silent. I don't believe for a second that the vast majority of Palestine wants to become martyrs, but at the same time, I don't think the vocal minority is very open to reason and negotiation, either.
