Ideally, yes, but realistically, I doubt they trust the Israelis any more than they trust their Palestinian leadership. Classic case of a rock and a hard place, I suppose. Or maybe it's easier to believe that the Israelis want all Palestinians dead than to believe that their own leadership is evil or inept.

Let me know if I'm way off.
