Dear Ann

Now who's being naive? "Israel does not target civilians" in the 40's Moosha Dayan (sp) and Manahin Beging (sp) (were at one point Israel prime ministers) committed massacres in 2 Palestinian villages. The slaughtered everyone in those villages, they would line people up and shoot them execution style and cut of the heads.

In 1982 Israel was responsible for killing 27,000 innocent Lebanese people, that number is excluding the hundreds of children, women and elderly people killed in Sabra and Shatila Camps. With the entire killing that Israel did and doing is with US support.

Here in the West we consider Israel's action justifiable. They are allowed to defend themselves. Israel is a victim. Israel is a friend of the US. Lets switch side for a moment. Now the US is a friend of the Palestinians. You will see that Israel is the oppressor and the Palestinians are the victims. The Palestinians are defending their freedom and dignity. The Israelis are the bullies and terrorists.

But here is the west we tend to see things from one side not both. That attitude does not give anyone the right to judge.

Lets not go too far. The US was attacked on September 11. The US government and the US people were willing to sacrifice US soldiers to go after the terrorists. If the American people were willing to take that risk to fend their one time oppressor, think how a Palestinian person feels in the West Bank. That person is being subjected to fear and humiliation day in and day out.

All I am saying here is for once let us see things from both sides.

Cheers
