Probably. Mallalieu was a key pusher of Valerie. Unfortunately, it seems like a case of too much promotion, not enough substance.

Thing was, the stock actually WAS priced over $28 in the second quarter of 1996. I can't believe that. Now, it is back to the old value it had pre-1996. A chart of this stock is exciting...looks like my g.p.a.

I had the misfortune of purchasing another stock, South American Gold, which was also praised and exalted by this dude. The current situation is much like Valerie's. High target, highest rating. Sure, I know the price of gold is a factor in this, and Bre-X...now they've even coined the term "Mallalieu Effect" which seems to have spread to many of his prized selections after Valerie.
