GST, talk about nonsense... You have an affinity for citing the amount of money the US pays Israel every year, but you seem unwilling to cite the amount of money we pay the Egyptians ($2 Billion per annum)..

Nor do you cite the reason the US pays Israel and Egypt such large sums of money.. The US does so solely to buy peace between them. Take the money away and the US loses its sole leverage over Israel foreign and military policy.

Back Israel in a corner and they will create far more problems for their Arab antagonists than just limited raids in the West Bank.

And if you're willing to send your share of tax money to Arafat directly, for his direct disbursement (maybe to buy some more AK-47 rounds), then more power to you. But I'll be damned if I'll ever approve of our government disbursing funds to be stashed away by corrupt politicians and dictators.. Our foreign policy history is rife with such failures.

So whenever you mention the $3 Billion the US gives Israel, without citing that an almost similar amount goes to Egypt, people like me will be there to remind you.

And then, while we're on the topic, how about the billions we pay the Saudis for their oil, so they can turn around and dole it out to extremist groups.
