I agree to disagree. You have presented a cogent arguement for your case. I still think that the value of gold is that it is not anyones liability and therefore has many significant advantages as a reserve currency for individuals and for central banks. This should be obvious for someone of your intelligence but perhaps I am reading too much into it myself. You have furthered this discussion along with your intelligent and well argued position. I think you have missed the major point about the role of gold as the ultimate regulator on the production of fiat in the hands of profligate politicans but hey, that is your right. Thanks.
